This policy explains how MyWorkoutLog collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the MyWorkoutLog iOS app, website, and related services (the “Service”).

Information we collect

• Account information: your name, email address, profile image, account identifiers, and authentication details handled through Clerk.
• Workout content: workout photos, voice recordings, text notes, manually entered workouts, and structured workout details such as exercises, sets, repetitions, weight, and duration.
• App activity and diagnostics: information needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service, such as feature interactions, request status, device and app version, crash data, and technical logs.
• Support communications: the information you send when you contact us for help or provide feedback.

Camera, photo-library, and microphone access are used only when you choose the related capture feature and grant permission through iOS.

How we use information

• Authenticate you and maintain your account.
• Transcribe and interpret workout content, present an editable result, and save the workout you approve.
• Synchronize and display your workout history.
• Maintain security, diagnose failures, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
• Respond to support requests and send essential service communications.

Service providers and sharing

We do not sell your personal information or use your workout content for advertising. We share information only as needed to provide and protect the Service, comply with law, or complete a transaction you request.

• Authentication: Clerk processes account and sign-in information.
• Hosting and databases: our backend runs on cloud infrastructure and stores account and workout records in an isolated application database.
• File storage: Cloudflare R2 stores uploaded workout media and related files.
• AI and transcription: contracted model and transcription providers process only the workout image, audio, or text needed to perform the feature you requested. We do not send your email address to these providers as part of workout processing.
• Diagnostics: Sentry and related service providers may process limited device, app, crash, and technical information to help us detect and resolve errors.
• Website analytics: when configured, PostHog processes website interactions and technical information so we can understand whether product and support pages work as intended.

Service providers may process information in countries other than your own and are required to handle it under applicable contractual and legal safeguards.

Retention and deletion

We retain account and workout information while your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete individual content where the app provides that control, or delete your account from Settings. Account deletion starts removal of your account and associated workout content. Limited records may remain temporarily in backups or where retention is required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.

Your choices and rights

You can review and correct workout data before saving, change iOS permissions in system settings, update supported profile information, and request access, correction, or deletion by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights and the right to complain to a data-protection authority.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted network connections, access controls, and separation between application environments. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Additional age requirements may apply where you live.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service changes. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when required.
