1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to WorkoutLog! By accessing or using our mobile application and services ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

2. The Service

WorkoutLog provides a tool to capture, analyze, and store your workout logs. You can upload images of your handwritten notes, and our Service will use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to process these images and generate structured digital workout data ("Workout Data").

3. Health and Medical Disclaimer

The Service is for informational purposes only and is not a medical device or a substitute for professional medical advice.

WorkoutLog is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. The data provided by the App is for personal logging purposes only.

Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition or before beginning any new fitness regimen. You assume all risks associated with your use of the Service.

4. User Accounts

To use the Service, you must create an account (e.g., via Clerk). You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

5. User-Generated Content

You retain full ownership of the content you upload, including your photos and the resulting Workout Data ("User Content").

To provide the Service, you grant WorkoutLog a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, process, and store your User Content. This license is solely for the purpose of:

  • Operating, providing, and improving the Service (e.g., storing your photos, running them through our AI service, and displaying your data back to you).
  • Developing new features, which may include training AI models on anonymized or aggregated data. You can opt-out of this by contacting us.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Upload any content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on anyone's rights.
  • Upload any content that contains protected personal health information (PHI) of others.
  • Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.

7. Disclaimers and AI Accuracy

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

The AI-powered transcription is a core feature but is not guaranteed to be 100% accurate. It may misinterpret handwriting, miss exercises, or make other errors. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of your Workout Data before saving it. WorkoutLog is not liable for any inaccuracies in the AI-generated data.

8. Termination

You can stop using our Service and delete your account at any time through the app's settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WorkoutLog will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, resulting from (a) your use of the Service; (b) any errors or inaccuracies in the AI-generated Workout Data; or (c) any unauthorized access to or use of our systems.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by email.
